【摘要】:1.1Thispracticeisintendedtoserveasaguidefortheproperpreparationofcopperanditsalloysforelectroplatingandconversioncoating.Thispracticeisalsosuitableforusebeforeautocatalyticplating.Onlyalloyscontainingatleast50mass%copperareconsideredwithinthescopeofthispractice.1.2Thewidevarietyofmethodsofmechanicalfinishingarenotconsideredstrictlyaspreparationforelectroplatingorconversioncoatingandconsequentlyaredescribedonlybriefly.1.3Detailsofelectroplatingandsubsequenttreatmentsforapplyingconversioncoatingsarenotwithinthescopeofthispractice.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Foraspecificprecautionarystatement,see6.5.2.
